This open Q&A is an opportunity for students to learn more about college and/or major requirements, research opportunities, and more!Kara Mae Brown is a Professor and Program Coordinator of UCSB's Writing & Literature program at the College of Creative Studies. She received her B.A. in English from The Ohio State University in 2003, and her MFA from Emerson College in Boston in 2009. In addition to teaching, Professor Brown is a creative writer and scholar of the teaching of writing. Her essays, fiction, and poems have appeared in literary journals such as Lit Angels, About Place Journal, Crack the Spine, Hawaii Review, and Plainsongs. Her scholarship has most recently focused on teaching writing at the intersection of science and creative writing. Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
