UC Application Virtual Summer Bootcamp

    Fall 2027 First-Year Future Applicants

    Get ready to apply to the University of California (UC) as a first-year applicant! The UC Application - Summer Bootcamp webinar series hosted by UC Santa Barbara covers information about the UC system, majors, support programs and the UC application. 

    By applying for Summer Bootcamp, you are expressing interest to participate in this free virtual three day workshop series. Participation in the bootcamp series will not be a determining factor in admission to the University of California. 

    The priority deadline to apply is May 22, 2026


    Bootcamp Eligibility Criteria:

    • Planning to apply to UC Santa Barbara through the UC Application as a first-year freshman for Fall 2027 admission
    • Must meet be on track to complete the minimum UC a-g coursework
    • Must have a 3.0 GPA or better (3.4 for nonresident students) in a-g courses with no grade lower than a C
    • Must apply to the program by the May 22 priority deadline
    • Priority consideration will be given to first-generation students, students from local high schools, and those with a parent or guardian employed as UC Santa Barbara staff or faculty
    • Note: Space is limited. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until all available program slots have been filled with students who meet the eligibility criteria. Students will be notified of their admission into Bootcamps on a rolling basis up until June 5th.

    • Day 1: Major vs. Career | UC Overview
    • Day 2: UC Application Overview | Academic History
    • Day 3: Activities & Awards | PIQ Overview
    Optional Sessions
    • Student-led Open Q&A: Connect with current students to ask your questions about the UCSB student experience
    • August: 1:1 advising to discuss your UC application questions (offered only to participants that attend all required sessions)
